Fishing Stove Reviews
Fishing gas stoves are an essential piece of equipment for any fisherman, so I’ve put together this list of the best fishing stoves, so you can make an informed decision about what stove to purchase.
Different people will want different features depending on their needs, but regardless of your choice, one thing is certain: you need a high-quality fishing gas stove.
Fishing gas stoves are used to boil your kettle, or create heat to cook on.
I would recommend investing in two or three spare gas canisters, just in case your gas runs out mid-session.
In the winter months, I would suggest buying a gas canister cover.
This is because the liquid is a mixture of propane and butane which needs to be pressured. You will struggle to ignite this if the pressure outside becomes too cold when temperatures plummet.

1. Ridge Monkey Quad Connect Stove
The original quad connect was a great success, so what have Ridge Monkey tried to do to improve them?
Well, two new features have been added to the original design – a gas condenser pipe to ensure fuel is burnt as efficiently as possible, and a remote Piezo ignition.
There are four models in the range, this one is a standalone fishing gas stove featuring a quad design that is super stable, making it very safe.
Constructed from stainless steel, which includes the body work and hoses, the legs can be adjusted to your liking if you are cooking or boiling your kettle on uneven ground.
Furthermore, the handle is equipped to hold a gas bottle stand.
What gas do I need for the Ridge Monkey Quad Connect?
All four stoves are designed for use with a butane/propane mix gas canister using the EN417 ISO screw thread, such as these Coleman Performance Gas Canisters.
Why should I buy this fishing stove?
If you liked the original quad connect stove, then you will appreciate the follow up!
One of the most stable stoves around in the carp tackle industry, its built solidly, remains lightweight and is easy to connect your gas and get cooking with.
But most of all – its reliable!
If you prefer, why not opt for the Ridge Monkey Quad Connect Pro? This is a full kit that uses two stove heads so you can cook and boil your kettle in real-time.
Its the only fishing stove to feature a quick-release connector on the primary stove head so the second stove can be removed at your pleasure.
Without a doubt the best fishing stove on the market in 2022.

2. Trakker Armolife CG-3 Stove
Best Fishing Stove – Winner
Cook ,boil and keep warm with the Trakker Armolife CG-3 Fishing Stove!
A practical, but reliable fishing stove, the Armolife CG-3 offers an efficient way to boil your kettle, heat up a pan of on noodles or grill some meat on a griddle.
This is due to an oversized pre-heat tube for better gas transformation between canister and stove.
There is a piezo electric ignition located at the base of the stove which worked everytime (I owned this stove for about two years), even with a pan in place.
What about stability?
Well, Trakker have opted to use a much wider construction than a traditional camping stove, which offers better stability due to a low centre of gravity as you unfold the legs and place on the ground.
This ensure your kettle or pan doesn’t topple off.
Why should I buy the Trakker Armolife CG-3 Fishing Stove?
Anglers looking for complete reliability should look no further. Not only is it also solid, but its probably the most compact gas fishing stove I have used.
Both the legs and flame guards fold into each other, so it takes up hardly space inside your luggage either.
Compact, solid and reliable, could this be the best fishing stove on our list?
3. GSI Pinnacle Fishing Stove
Anglers seeking a light, compact stove with a high output, will be pleasantly surprised by the GSI Pinnacle 4 stove!
This isn’t made from any of the usual fishing brands, but I loved it that much that I just had to include it.
The clever folding legs are solid and are easy to open, with wide leg plates that grip most surfaces well.
A high efficiency burner offering fishermen super quick boil times (around 3 and half minutes) and reduced fuel usage, the CSI ‘Pinnacle’ can be used for all seasons.
However, what I liked the most about this gas fishing stove was the ability to ‘invert’ the gas canister so it still produces a flame in colder weather.
If you are not fussed about the brand behind the product, then why not choose this excellent fishing stove as part of your cookware?
4. Fox Cookware Heat Transfer 3200 Stove
Want the perfect brew every time? Then the Fox Cookware Heat Transfer 3200 Stove is the perfect choice!
Lets get straight to the key feature here – it includes an adjustable flame, which means you can decide how much heat you generate!
This is great for cooking food where a lower temperature is required, whilst the built-in piezo ignition produces an instant spark so you don’t have to fumble around with a lighter anymore.
Weighing just 320g, you’ll need an EN417 Butane-Propane mixed gas cartridge to get going with this.
How did it perform?
After unpacking it, I noticed there is a cloth carry bag included, and I didn’t realise that this stove doesn’t fold away either.
Anyway, it seemed stable, and a glance underneath reveals small indents on all three legs, which I presume is designed to give better grip?
Boil times were quick (on full flame) and it managed to cook my bacon quickly too.
Is the Fox Heat Transfer stove a good addition to our best fishing stove guide? Yes – especially due to the fact I can control the amount of heat when cooking my food!

Best Fishing Stove – Most Versatile
For fishermen seeking a dual stove to boil a kettle and cook at the same time need look no further than the Ridge Monkey Quad Connect Stove Pro Full Kit!
As we’ve already mentioned in our review of the single quad connect gas stove, the design is super stable and includes four adjustable legs for setting up on awkward surfaces.
Both primary heads can be controlled separately, which means anglers can choose varying heat levels on both stoves if they wish.
Ideal for slow cooking meat, or if you have friends who have popped to your swim for a cuppa and you need lots of hot water!
An all new gas condenser pipe ensures highly efficient fuel burn to save you money on gas canisters, even in the coldest conditions.
We highly recommend investing in a Ridge Monkey Gas Canister Cover to make sure you can eat and drink at full capacity.
Its the only fishing stove on the market to feature twin stoves that can be controlled individually, making it a good enough reason why this is the best fishing stove for anglers who prefer multiple heat sources to cook and boil water with.

The Carp Life Fishing Stove is practical and great value for money, making it ideal for beginners, or anglers on a budget.
Constructed from a mixture of aluminium, copper and stainless steel, I liked how compact it was because you can fold it down into its bag and store away into you cookware cookware uggage without taking up much space.
It has a 3500 watt output, so there is plenty of heat to rapid boil your kettle or sizzle up some sausages in a frying pan!
To get started, it is easy to spark the gas using a Piezo ignition system, whilst an oversized heat tube ensure the best possible fuel efficiency so no gas is wasted.
The inner components are fixed into a wide frame, giving it good stability, and I found it to be very lightweight.

A compact and durable gas stove featuring flame control so you can adjust the heat source to your liking, it accepts EN417 Butane-Propane mixed gas cartridges – which are readily available.
The downside is there is no Piezo ignition – I’m afraid its manual only, but this is very easy to do with a lighter.
Another thing is just how small this stove is, it actually fits into the palm of my hand!
Its by far the most compact fishing stove on this list, so if you are looking for something that fits into a small space, but still includes decent power and a robust design, then you should consider the Fox Cookware 3000 Stove.

9. Tentock 3000W Fishing Stove with Piezo Ignition
It may not be made by a traditional fishing brand, but campers love this gas stove!
I have included this stove on the recommendation from a relative, who says she has had this for many years and it has not let her down!
So for that reason, I wanted to test it out for myself, and I can tell you that this stove is solid and folds into itself, which means it will take up hardly any room at all.
It yields 3000w of power, via a gas cartridge, and weights 386 g which is heavier than most other stoves I have reviewed.
This is due to the solid construction of aluminium alloy and stainless steel, so I can see why it is hardwearing.
The stove features a ceramic piezoelectric ignition, which ignited everytime I wanted to get the kettle on, and the whole process was quick and efficient.
There is also a rotary dial to control the heat, and the wide legs (the widest I’ve seen!) really keeps the stove grounded and stable.
Did I mention that its also great value for money compared to other fishing stove on the list?
